Find Your Way Back to Each Other
More closeness
Meaningful intimacy
The confidence that you can turn to each other, even when things are difficult
The same argument returns. Attempts to explain lead to more tension. One person reaches harder while the other pulls away. The issue changes, but the distance remains.
EFT couples therapy helps you understand what happens in these moments and reach beneath the anger, frustration, or silence to what has been difficult to say and hear. The goal is to feel heard, to trust that your partner will respond, and to find your way toward each other again.
What to Expect in Session
Sessions go beyond recounting disagreements. With active guidance, you slow down difficult exchanges, put words to the feelings underneath them, and practice responding to each other differently.
Finding Your Footing: You begin to recognize the cycle that pulls you apart, including how each person’s response affects the other. Seeing the cycle more clearly creates room for less blame and more understanding.
Reaching Each Other: Conversations move closer to the vulnerable feelings and needs that arguments often obscure. You practice expressing these more openly and hearing your partner with greater understanding. Connection grows through experiences of reaching and being met, of holding and being held.
Bringing Connection Home: You build on these experiences in everyday life. Recognizing tension earlier, asking more directly for support, and finding your way back after disagreements can become more familiar. The aim is greater trust in your ability to face difficulties together.
